Collaboration with community organisations and allied health professionals in the resolution of health and wellbeing issues is imperative. Partnerships with local health clinics, mental health services, family support organisations, and child protection agencies would be able to provide full support for children and families (Mission Australia, 2023). For instance, speech pathologists, psychologists, and social workers would assist with assessment, intervention, and family counselling.
Team approaches from multi-disciplinary aspects improve information sharing and coordinated care, thereby avoiding duplication and ensuring that support would be holistic (Australian Institute of Family Studies, 2020). Early childhood services also cooperate with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health services to facilitate culturally appropriate care for Indigenous children and families (Secretariat of National Aboriginal and Islander Child Care, 2019).
